Designed by the amazing, Sriparna, in Kolkata. This beautiful dress is handmade by her network of local artisans from traditional Bengali taant fabric.
Taant begins with yarn handspun from local West Bengal cotton, and Sriparna designs her own jamdani motifs that are painstakingly included as the fabric is woven. Taant is the softest, lightest fabric you can wear; perfect for those long hot summers.
An anti-fit dress crafted after combining three different Jamdani weaves. An ode to mosaic tile art, with the front yoke adorned in barfi pintucks. This one brings Dhaka’s classic Koraat Jamdani pattern on the front and back yoke, with multi diamond buttas in Jamdani and chequered patchwork panelling. The balloon sleeves come with soft elasticated cuffs, while pinched gathers on the back and side lend an effortless silhouette. Comes with pockets and cotton slip.
