Tibetan Coral Stud Earrings

Hand crafted by Desh and his family, outside of Kathmandu, Nepal. These delicate earrings are made from sterling silver and Tibetan coral. Tibetan coral is prized by the people of Tibet and Nepal for spiritual reasons as well as its beauty. Although many coral stones used now are made from compressed stone powder, these Tibetan coral earrings are complete pieces of coral that have been shaped for their settings.

Story

The Tibetan people regard red coral as embodying the essence of life. It is believed to protect the wearer, and bring happiness and good fortune to them.

Desh and his family have run their shop outside of Kathmandu for many generations. The shop is at the front of their family compound, whose entrance was painted with colorful symbols on the 100th year of the family living there. They have been hand making jewelry and collecting antique masks from nearby villages all this time. We love working with such wonderful people, and contributing to their ancient family business!

Keep away from fire and heat.

Do not apply perfume/water directly to the jewelry.

Please store in an airtight case and handle with care

Store the piece individually and not with other jewelry pieces

Jewelry should be worn last and taken off first.

Even though our jewelry is anti-tarnish, certain parts or embellishments may turn black due to various reasons like regular wear, high humidity, proximity to heat, etc.
