This handsome little cup with its serene face is made by hand in Santa Maria Atzompa, Oaxaca.

These little guys are 2 inches tall and 2.5 inches in diameter, hold approximately 2.5 ounces of liquid.

Glazed interior, food safe.

These beautiful ceramics are made by hand in the southern Mexican state of Oaxaca and can have unique markings that occur randomly in the firing process. These markings are not considered defects, all our ceramics are wood fired, so the temperature of the kiln can vary and that can make the interior glaze appear cracked, this is also not considered a defect.

Our friend, Chantale, works directly with indigenous groups in Mexico, with a focus on artisans who use natural materials and traditional techniques. She is a member of the Métis Nation of British Columbia and a descendant of the Cowessess First Nation of Saskatchewan. Chantale brings her perspective as an indigenous person to her business practices and is guided by the principles of respect, reciprocity, relevance and responsibility in her work ethic.
