Wonderfully soft scarf, handmade by Mone and Doi, in northern Laos. These sisters use only local cotton and natural plant dyes made by their family, weaving everything on their small backstrap looms.

Long a part of French Indochine, Laos retains aspects of French culture, most obvious in its food, coffee, and architecture.
